Full Stack Developer (PHP & React)
Build and secure NearQo's core PHP platform, REST APIs and React front end, including PayPal payments.

We are looking for a full-stack developer to help build and maintain the NearQo platform. This is a remote role with a weekly follow-up meeting to review progress and plan the next sprint.

You will:

  • Build and maintain features in core PHP using object-oriented design
  • Build responsive user interfaces with JavaScript and React
  • Design, build, and document secure REST APIs
  • Integrate and maintain PayPal payments, including webhooks and refunds
  • Apply high security practices: input validation, prepared statements, protection against XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection, secure sessions, and password handling
  • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
  • Review code, fix bugs, and improve performance
  • Attend a weekly follow-up meeting and share regular progress updates

আমি কি বিচাৰোঁ

  • Minimum 3 years of professional full stack experience
  • Strong core PHP (no framework dependency) and OOP
  • Solid JavaScript and React
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
  • Proven knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP Top 10)
  • Hands-on experience integrating PayPal or similar payment gateways
  • Good with MySQL and Git
  • Clear written English and reliable communication in a remote setup
  • Available for a weekly follow-up meeting
Listing Approver (Moderator)
Review new business listings and approve or reject them fairly, consistently and strictly by our guidelines.
আংশিককালীন 📍 Remote Trust & Quality 🧭 0–2 years (moderation or data review experience is a plus)

NearQo helps people find genuine local businesses. Every listing on the platform is checked before it goes live, and we need someone who can make those decisions objectively, with no emotion and no favouritism.

You will:

  • Review each new and edited listing against NearQo's published listing guidelines
  • Approve, reject or send back a listing with a clear, written reason for every decision
  • Verify business name, category, address, phone number, photos and description for accuracy and authenticity
  • Flag duplicates, fake or misleading listings, prohibited categories and spam
  • Apply the same rules to every listing, whoever the owner is, whether or not they are known to you, and whether or not they are a paying customer
  • Declare any personal connection to a business and pass that listing to another reviewer
  • Keep a consistent record of decisions so they can be audited
  • Meet the agreed review turnaround time

  • Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking facts before deciding
  • Fluent in English and Hindi; Assamese or other regional languages are a plus
  • Able to write short, neutral and clear reasons for rejections
  • Integrity: will not accept gifts or favours, and reports any attempt to influence a decision
  • Comfortable working independently, on time, with a laptop and reliable internet
  • Prior experience in content moderation, quality review or data verification is a plus
